Why Cali for Hummingbirds?
Colombia has the largest number of hummingbird species in the world, and Cali’s surrounding cloud forests are one of the best places to spot them. Every day, the sanctuary’s feeders are filled with 40 liters of water, 5 kg of white sugar (honey and brown sugar are harmful to them) and 20 kg of bananas, attracting dozens of hummingbirds and other bird species.
Unlike zoos or aviaries, this sanctuary is completely open – the birds come freely, offering a genuine and ethical birdwatching experience.
